  • The TE550 is a microprocessor-based welding controller for resistance welders. The task of the welding controller is to manage the welding components, especially the diodes, which are responsible for adjusting the welding current.

The TE550 is a particularly versatile welding controller, suitable for different types of welding equipment; it can be used not only for spot and projection welders, but also for seam welding. Moreover, it can be operated with power setting or constant energy (optional). The number of inputs and outputs can be increased to better adapt the welding control to automatic machines. 250 welding programs can be stored, 31 of which can be recalled directly from an external device. Each program consists of several programmable parameters that define the operating cycle. In addition to the simple 4-fold welding cycle, the control allows the execution of welding procedures with pre-weld current, post-weld current, rise and pulses.

    • Easy programming with 6 keys and LCD display with backlight.

    • Synchronous control with controlled diodes and phase-controlled current adjustment.

    • Storage of 250 welding programs, 31 of which can be recalled externally.

    • Up to 25 programmable parameters per program.

    • Rise, pulse, pre-weld and post-weld current pulses and setting of welding times in half periods.

    • Display of RMS welding current measurement in kA and corresponding guide angle.

    • 3 operating modes: standard, constant current and constant energy.

    • Limit values for welding current and guide angle.

    • Double stroke function

    • Stepper function to compensate the wear of the electrodes with programmable curve.

    • Single and automatic cycle.

    • WELD and NO-WELD function.

    • Setting of the first switch-on delay.

    • Control of 5 solenoid valves 24 VDC max. 5 W with self-protected output.

    • Self-setting to supply frequency 50/60 Hz.

    • Serial data transmission via optional isolated RS232 or RS485 ports.

    • Output for proportional solenoid valve.

    • Selection button for foot controller or two-hand control.

    • Language selection: Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Hungarian, Swedish or Portuguese.

    • Possibility for upgrades of the control firmware through the appropriate software.

    • CAN interface for future additional equipment.

    • Activation and control of the electrodes (optional).
